You cold do this with the Meris LVX. I lost some respect for you, shilling this new $400 same old from CB. LVX mops the floor with this, and you know it.

Loving the “first ten minutes” concept. It’s almost like a challenge to see what kind of sound you can get dialed in before the ten minutes are up
Cheers Josh. I’ve been doing this concept for years tho buddy where ya been😂😂
@@nickreesyt I’ve been here watching them all! I don’t comment every time but I got my eyes on them
@@thoughttrials ah my man what a legend 🤗 wish I could have used this pedal on some of the beats off your last last EP 🔥
….starts “cycles”
Nicely done!!
THANKYOU friend
Maybe you could learn how to operate the pedal and then edit a video down to show useful functions? Just a thought. The first seven minutes of your first ten minutes should have been deleted.
well then that wouldn’t have been the first ten minutes of me using the pedal ! But thanks for the editorial advice. More in depth video manuals will follow. Also, what we individually class as usual functions is all subjective from my experience depending on your musical tastes
Showing the exploration and learning of a pedal's functions is a valid concept and for me a part of the fun. The happy accidents and missteps are part of the process of getting to find those 'useful functions' and I like seeing those, personally.
Don’t you just love comments made by people with NO videos of their own, giving editorial advice? What a tosser!
Maybe you could learn how to write a comment without being an asshole, and then edit it down to say something actually helpful. Your whole comment should have been deleted. 👍
a commercial 1:24 into the video is not my speed
It's a great way to demonstrate how the ramper works, but that would have to be the most irritating sound I've heard this week.
Haha I’ll take the first comment as a compliment. Yeh no points for musical prowess in this video but that wasn’t the point. Thanks for checking in
@@nickreesyt It was the best functional demo I've seen for this! Thanks for the great demo. The noises are stuck with me though..
@ArrakisOCE I hope they haunt you in your dreams 😂😂
"Could you please explain, what a delay pedal does?" ... "YES-YES-YES-yes-yes-yes ..."
I like a quick yes yes…slapback
Totally. Yeah looking forward to hearing other instruments through it. I just think the whole glitch and freeze thing has already been done. Stoked to see what’s unique about Chase bliss implementation besides their unique workflow. I would be putting it on synths and drum machines but I also already have a Qu-bit Data Bender in my modular rack that seems very similar. I’m looking forward to future vids!
Thanks Ryan
I thought i might have wanted this until I just watched this demo. lol. I don’t know how those sounds would fit in with a guitar. Maybe on a synth and definitely on drums
Hey Ryan. Well firstly the pedal is designed for literally anything so no need to limit it to a guitar. Secondly, this was literally my first ten minutes playing what is a pretty deep non typical pedal so I wouldn’t worry too much about the lack of mind blowing sounds throughout. I will be sharing a lot more on it and putting together some intro tracks using it exclusively so hopefully, although I haven’t done them yet, that will show more of the practical ways you can use a pedal like this. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you jump on for the ride
They fit in with guitar just like any effect can or does. The imagination shouldn't be limited ;)
How Onward responds to the playing dynamics of a guitar is awesome. I spent days with it at Superbooth and it has a place with any instrument, but I got the most out of it through the guitar, it's stereo capabilities are phenomenal.
I was hoping you would get this into your hands!
Thanks….two hands firmly on it. It’s killer

Lovely sounds coming through straight off.
What a day!
Outward is one of my favorite pedals of all time. Excited to hear this one in action!
I mean….i think this might be one of the best chase pedals already. The stereo spread is wild
Thanks for the demo -looking forward to a deep dive like you did with Rev Mode C (later, of course). Is this all just Onward - no other effects (other than reverb at the end)?
Ah thanks man, I’m definitely going to do that in the next few weeks. Yes all Onward apart from the new bigsky MX when I brought it in at the end. This thing is wild
Damn! Some of the sounds you were getting at the 4 min. and 7 min. marks were incredible. Its a match made in heaven with a stereo reverb like the Big Sky. It's a song maker for sure! Great video Nick!
You’ve gta love a pedal that you can flick on without ever having used it and get great sounds straight off the bat. Wild. I feel like this one is Gna be legendary
@@nickreesyt absolutely 100% agree
Very awesome! Waiting on mine hopefully this week! I shared this over on the gear page and the gear forum and chase bliss users facebook.

IT IS HERE! I've been waiting patiently for this one and today was the day. I got it on the table, recorded, filmed and posted this within an hour. A new record I think for me. I have a feeling this is going to be a classic. Oh and wait until the end if you want to hear what it sounds like with some stereo reverb pushing it along.......mmmmmmm. Thanks Chase Bliss, you're awesome
That’s just very very cool. I’ve been playing rock-n-roll since I was a young kid in the 70’s. Recently told the wife I just want to sit in my music room and play something different..This is definitely different, and will definitely help this 69yr Young man be able to chill out a bit and relax…! Now all I gotta do is get the $ to buy some new pedals..! You know how us older people in the USA are supposed to live off our Social Security… Thank you for a great, very very cool video….!see ya down the road…✌️
Hey Michael. Firstly thanks for stopping by on the channel and taking the time to watch and comment. I have a lot of videos that you may find interesting if you’re embarking on new sounds, if there is anything specifically you are after let me know and I will do my best to help. I post here every Monday and Wednesday and am also over on Instagram if you are there drop me a DM and say hi
Wow, I never expected a reply, so Thank You for the response. Yes you video was awesome and I’m wanting to do some new things, and try new sounds. I’m wanting to do very slow melodic rythems and if I can master a looper and learn to record on my laptop or iPad, using something this old brain will understand, like GarageBand or something, I would love to play the tracks and go over them with very slow melodic leads, like David Gilmore and others whose names I can’t seem to recall at this moment. I will be checking in on Mondays and Wednesdays and Instagram as well.. Have fun, and stay safe my friend…and Thanks again…..!
Dark Light in the daylight, love it. Really clear explainer, thank you sir!

Option paralysis kills creativity. Thanks for watching
My FAVORITE thing to do with these... Is to stack fuzzes. I wish I wouldn't have let go of both of mine, I will definitely get them again. My friends would see my pedal board and reply something along the lines of "Wait you have two fuzzes per channel so 12 fuzzes total?" *shrugs* I'm a strange guitarist, I also only had fuzzes and a delay pedal... Just how I've always done things, I just now got into compressors due to Lowell George. Seeing your layout is so clean and beautiful man! Never heard of Emmergy fx, just went on their website. Want that fourced smile and the slowdriver. Also nice Revstar!
Firstly thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate you. Your comment made me think of beam splitter by OBNE. Ive never actually thought about running fuzz in parallel and now I want that thing. Yes Emmergy are doing some really cool stuff and I can personally vouch they are also awesome people. If you’re over on IG come find me I’d love to chat more
@nickreesyt my dude!!!! I had a pladesk electrisk... I'm all about splitting. I just looked up the OBNE beam splitter. Thank you! I have Facebook and not IG if you do wanna chat. I'd love to swap ideas! You seem to be full of great ones! 🙏🏻
If only it was stereo
It can be if you have a stereo parallel mixer….
Running parallel effects is somthinf I've been doing for years. After using this one for a while I became frustrated with it's limitations. It be so much better in stereo. My frustrations led me to using a small mixer on my board, I'm seeing this more and more. This is kinda out of date.
Everything out of date if you’ve been doing it for years I guess. Not so if you just started or haven’t yet began tho hey. You’re setup sounds great would love to hear more about it
Is this new? That’s amazing
I think this short video was the start of me beginning to make intro tracks for YT videos and testing out how quickly I could make something half decent. So no not knew but thanks for commenting I forgot about this one
Oh Nick, I had the idea of a parallel Mixer buried in the back of my head because space is a rare thing on a pedalboard. Now I remember Pladask Elektrisk did their Matrix Mixer in stereo. Thanks for the sleepless night to come 😂 Great video and nice sounds!
Haha awesome. Yeh the Pladask options are great but if you go down that hole…….then I will see you in a few months 😂🫣🤘🏼
Great work. I run my LVX and MercuryX in parallel most of the time. I’ve got the option of series (my loop switcher can change per preset). Love the blend of the two in parallel. Also enjoyed seeing how you use it. More like three separate tracks. Cool stuff. Thanks again!
Strange you say that..I may or may not be editing a video right this moment comparing the LVX and Merc from series to parallel
Nice work Nick. Well explained! Nice and simple. I'm getting back into thinking about a parallel mixer again. When i had one years ago i just tinkered relentlessly and didnt play anything! I really appreciate the ability to separate different elements from one another. Cheers!
Amen brother
Haha the face you pull at 5:16 is very understandable. Really appreciate this explanation, I’m really pretty set with all my pedals but this is a great, different new way to get more out of them.
Haha thanks man. When you layer things up yet have total control over each layer it really does bring a new dimension to your sound
Bigsky Mx or Mercury X ? If only one to chose Thanks
Hey I don’t want to give the game away as to where I stand just yet…but lots more videos from me on this subject incoming. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment I appreciate it
Fractal FM3. Plex verb, cloud verbs
Do you always run these pedals in mono then? I do need a mixer!
Hey, I built this specifically for a gig and I did play mono. You can buy stereo parallel mixers though….and yeh that’s an even cooler level of detail you can build in
Every day is a school day, cheers for the vid!
Defo just like when you learned the earth wasn’t flat
@@nickreesyt wait… what?!
@rtrees86 I know I couldn’t believe it myself
So many ideas running through my head right now!! Cool video!!
Ah that’s so cool….how could you see this working in your setup?
@@nickreesyt yeah for example putting generation loss and lossy in the loops to really be able to have control over the mix of what one you want to use, and not having them effect each other as well! So many ideas!
Exactly what I did with the thermae and mood mk2 recently for a gig
@@nickreesyt yes!! That’s awesome!
"This is why you need" - this is why guys play with buying pedals, instead of guitar.
Even if I agreed with that…would that be a problem?
@@nickreesyt well, yes, quite often, I see guitarists who tune their equipment longer, than actually play their few chords on the show 😸 And sometimes, it sounds worser, than if they just plugged straight into the amp.
Well, sometimes it is just a different thing: you can appreciate the pedals or the pedalboard as an instrument itself. I enjoy to play my pedalboard and create ambient soundscapes. And actually I don't even need a guitar. And buying a new pedal already became quite a rare event for me.
@Tommy712rus peskey guitarists aye
Parallel mixers are almost essential for ambient soundscaping, at least if you use quite complex seetups. My ambient sounds would just be impossible without a parallel mixer and my pedalboard would be lost without my Matrise. These three loops in the TPM sound very good together. 👍👍
Ah yeh so cool to hear and I knew you’d be a fan of parallel mixers. is the matrise stereo?
@@nickreesyt no, my Matrise is still mono. I thought about getting a stereo Matrise, but it would make my board a lot more complicated. I have a lot of good mono pedals and I keep my stereo pedals at the end of the chain. Thus a stereo Matrise is actually not necessary for me.
